Owner & Fitness Instructor

Born and raised in Framingham, I was brought up just around the corner from Focus on Fitness. I graduated from Framingham High School class of 1962, graduated from Framingham State in 1966 with a BS in elementary education and in 1978 received a master’s degree in reading and language arts. I was a fifth and sixth grade teacher in Holliston Public Schools for 12 years.

I began running on April 1, 1978 and have turned by passion for fitness into a business. My goal was to help others feel good about themselves through exercise and being healthy. I started doing aerobics in a church basement and continued to expand my business over the years. Today Focus on Fitness is located in a 15,000 square foot facility that has a large fitness area, two studios and a pool.

Over the years I have completed 22 Boston Marathons, 1 Newport Marathon and 1 New York City marathon. At the age of 40 years old, I placed 3rd in my age group in Newport with a 3 hr. 20 minute marathon and when I was 51 I placed 2nd in my age group in the 1995 Boston Marathon. Two records I am very proud of today.

I still run, have become fond of cycling and teach a variety of classes at the club. Step, Hi/Lo Aerobics, Muscle Conditioning, Spinning, Group Power and Pilates are my favorite classes to teach. I have certifications in all these areas with a broad certification with ACE, the American Council on Exercise, since 1986. The best part of my job is teaching. I always tell everyone I am still a teacher. My students are different and so is my curriculum, but you can’t take the teacher out of me!

Today I make it a goal to do something physical everyday of my life. I believe that focusing on fitness is a fun way to a healthier me.

Assistant Manager, B.A., CFP®, ACSM CPT, SPIN, BTS Group Power

Marion retired as a Consultant Engineer from Intel Corp. in 2007 following thirty years in high tech. Always active, she immediately pursued her intended ‘Second Career’ in fitness. Marion trained as a Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner ( and has been teaching movement awareness since 1997. She joined FOF in 2008 as our Assistant Manager, a Personal Trainer, and a SPIN and Group Power Instructor. An avid cyclist, Marion has ridden across the United States twice.

Having run the BAA Marathon several times, she now enjoys the ‘best seat in town’ as a Bike Spotter! “The best part of my avocation as a fitness trainer is being part of enabling others to enjoy the tremendous rewards of a healthy lifestyle. Whether someone is looking to achieve the next level of fitness, or coming from injury or years of inactivity, my objective is commitment to people achieving their individual goals. For me, the reward of helping people to learn, adopt and establish healthier habits is the essence of being a trainer. Fitness is an achievable gift to give oneself. Danielle has been a group Power Instructor (BTS) since 2006. She has also been certified to teach Spin through Mad Dogg Athelics since 2009. She is also going for her AFFA certification in July of 2013.


When not teaching or taking part in furthering her fitness education, she keeps busy by training for and participating in various 5K’s, 10K’s and a yearly Sprint-Triatholon. She also enjoys cheering on the Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox,
although the biggest loves in her life are her son Cam and her husband Marc..

Fitness Director

Alison has been the Fitness Director at Focus on Fitness since 1999.  Alison earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), ACE and ASCM certified Personal Trainer and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist.  She began teaching group exercise classes while in college in 1983.  She currently teaches Group Power, yoga, step, pilates and water aerobics. 

When not teaching or training at Focus on Fitness  Alison can be found coaching the Framingham High School boys swim team and Shawmut Aquatics Club swimmers in their strength and conditioning work.  Time off from fitness is spent with her husband Paul and their three children, Halie, Hunter and Max (plus their dog and two cats).

Fitness Instructor

Lynn Rossini is an accomplished fitness instructor whom has shared her passion for fitness with clients throughout the Metro West area since 1995. She has lead many classes including Spinning, Muscle Conditioning and Group Power, Step Aerobics as well as Boot Camp Style Classes. She enjoys working with and teaching members of all ages including seniors.

Lynn’s certifications include American and Fitness Association of America (AFFA) as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, Body Training Systems (BTS) Mad Dogg Spinning and Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA). She is also a member of International Association of Fitness Professional (IDEA).

She enjoys cycling in Europe and the States, has completed 7 marathons and several triathlons, of varying lengths. She practices what she teaches by personally living healthy and exercising regularly outside of her classes. Additional hobbies include hiking, gardening and cooking. Lynn has also been a licensed Real Estate Broker for RE/MAX Executive Realty in Holliston, MA for the past 28 years.

I have been personal training and teaching group fitness classes since 2007.  I am a NASM certified personal trainer and an AAFA certified group fitness instructor.  I also hold certifications in Group Power, Group Centergy, Group Ride, Ripped and Bootcamp Challenge.  The reason that I got involved in fitness is because I get such gratification out of helping someone reach their fitness goals.  I personally find exercising to be very therapeutic and a great stress reliever.  I enjoy boxing, golfing, skiing, spinning and hot yoga.  I think having a fitness regimen not only helps change and enrich your life but it’s a great way to meet new people and develop friendships.  In my down time I enjoy watching golf, the Sox, Pats and Bruins.  Don’t try Do!
